Credit card spending at convenience stores in South Korea is on the rise,... mainly due to the growth in the number of one-person households.<br />According to the Bank of Korea on Sunday, credit card spending at convenience stores totaled around six-point-two billion U.S. dollars from January to November last year.<br />The figure marks an on-year increase of almost 20-percent.<br />Watchers say the rise in single-person households means more people are buying instant meals at the stores. <br />Separate data from Statistics Korea shows the ratio of one-person households in South Korea was 28-point-6 percent in 2017. <br />
